Healing Hands

By Kathy, Newyork

Editor’s Note: Kathy, a nurse, attended a Second Level Retreat at New York Center, during which she acquired powerful energy healing skills that she has used to heal numerous people. Below, she describes the profound ways in which she has been able to help others, and herself, using energy techniques, and her commitment as a healer going forward.

I want to thank Master Julie from the bottom of my heart for her tireless efforts on behalf of the New York Bodhi Meditation Center. Her presence exudes deep commitment and great compassion for all sentient beings, and she makes it possible for people from all walks of life, including professionals, busy mothers, those who are ill and those who are retired, to come into the Center and feel like part of a big, loving family! Since attending the Second Level Meditation Retreat in May of 2012, I have seen profound changes in myself and in others that I’ve helped using Grandmaster JinBodhi’s energy healing techniques.

I have become more patient and calm, less anxious and stressed from the demands of work, family and the grind of daily life. My anger has subsided some and I’ve become more tolerant, less apt to judge things as “not right.”

I have been practicing the energy healing skills that I learned during the Retreat on my family and patients. Before the Retreat was over, I was already using what I had learned to heal my fellow practitioners. There was a gentleman who was having lower back and shoulder pain, which I was able to accurately pinpoint with my hands. When I was working on his left shoulder, he said that he felt the pain transfer over to his right side, and that there was a constant prickly sensation radiating from his lower back to his legs. Most people I have treated experience a tingling or prickly sensation while I am working on them.

A lady to whom I applied energy said that she felt the pain exit through her stomach. Another practitioner said that the discomfort in her chest and shoulder lessened, and yet another told me her lower back, knee and leg pain all eased up. There were many more instances of successful healing while I was at the Center. I simply offered to serve my fellow practitioners by using my newly acquired healing skills, without expecting anything in return. My joy at being able to help relieve people of pain was immense.

In my role as a nurse, I have been able to utilize the skills to hone in on my patients’ illnesses. I have been continually able to identify where patients have defects, such as pain or arthritis. Utilizing one of the healing techniques, I was able to provide immediately relief to a man suffering from gout. Another of my patients, John, suffers from spinal stenosis, which causes him daily, excruciating pain in his lower back. John has had this condition for about 50 years. I asked him to lie down on his stomach to access his lower back and sciatic nerve. During treatment, John could feel the pain escaping from his sciatic nerve area and his lower back. After the session, he said that his back had never felt so good.

Diana, a patient with rheumatoid arthritis, suffered from pain and stiffness that was untouched by over-the-counter medications. She tried prescription medication which helped to ease her misery, but side effects forced her to discontinue its use. Diana’s pain was located throughout her shoulders, arms, knees, legs and lower back. After I had worked on her for 45 minutes, she said that her pain went from excruciating – a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 – to nonexistent! She was able to move her arms in full range of motion with no difficulty. Diana was totally amazed!

I’ve even successfully used these energy healing skills on myself. After straining my neck, I briefly applied the techniques and was able to once again turn my head with ease.

These are only a few examples of what I have been able to do using the healing skills I learned at the Bodhi Meditation Retreat, and through the infinite energy and power of Grandmaster JinBodhi, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Medicine Buddha. I call upon the power of those three majestic beings before I start a treatment session, during, and after, and finish by offering them my gratitude and asking the Universe to grant me the ability to heal many more sentient beings. Since May of 2012, I have been able to provide successful healing for over 50 people, and I joyfully look forward to restoring health to many more.
