The Joy of Napping and Healing Others

By Ah Heng Teh

I began to practice The Meditation of Greater Illumination in early 2011. Then I attended a Two-Day Bodhi Meditation Introductory Class in March and a Meditation and Fitness Retreat in April in Kuala Lumpur.

My only health issue was my sleeping disorder: Sometimes I would be sleepless for three to four consecutive nights. It was painful. I would feel exhausted and disoriented, and unfortunately I couldn’t take naps during the day – even if I had the opportunity, I simply couldn’t doze off. However, Bodhi Meditation is a godsend. It has totally eradicated my insomnia. In late 2011, I was traveling to Kuala Lumpur by bus and, to my surprise, I dozed off. When I awakened, I was full of gratitude for my newfound ability to take naps!

In addition to my own healing, I acquired the skills to help others toward better health. The energy healings I’ve performed have been very effective. My friend’s mother suffered from lumbar pain, and while I was treating her, she felt energy pleasantly flowing through her back. Her pain was gone after one treatment! Another friend suffered pain from gout and couldn’t walk well. After I gave him a five-minute energy healing, he felt much better and was able to walk more easily. It’s a delight to be able to help people in such a significant way.
Bodhi Meditation has become a daily part of my life, a gift with lasting, far-reaching rewards.
