On the third day of an 8.5-Day Health & Hap-piness Retreat, I was going through withdrawal from a 24-hour pain patch. During the chant-ing, I asked Grandmaster JinBodhi for help. Within 30 seconds, all the pain and symptoms were gone. Usually it would take three days for complete with-drawal. —Tamara

My ex-wife wouldn’t talk to me for the past 30 years. During the 8.5-Day Health & Hap-piness Retreat, I called her. She talked to me. —Julian

My 82-year-old mother was in the hospital with congestive heart failure, a lung infec-tion and a blood clot. She was so ill she had called her sisters to say goodbye. Together with some Bodhi friends, I chanted for her one evening . The next day, my father called to say that when the doctors checked on her in the morning, they said she was fine and could go home. —Arlene

I play the Prajna Mantra and Celestial Chant for a 16-year-old autistic teen with neuro-logical issues and violent tendencies. When the music starts, he lies down and smiles. He can’t talk, so he then motions for me to play it again. The difference in his behavior is amazing. —Erin

I had allergies for years. They would last for about two months and I would live on medi-cation. Now, after practicing meditation, I can smell the fresh-cut grass and enjoy flow-ers without any suffering.—Peggy

I had a defibrillator implanted in my heart years ago. It is now two years past its “due date.” Two months ago I went for a regular checkup and the electrophysiologist told me that instead of losing energy, the defibrillator had gained energy. He couldn’t explain why, but I could.—Dave

After a healing by one of the volunteers, the dull, chronic pain in my back was gone. —Derek

I was riding the train when two very drunk young men boarded. They harassed all the passengers, blasted their music, made snide remarks at the girls, and drank beer. They made everyone uncomfortable. One of them looked me in the eye and said, “I need a psychologist, someone who will listen.” So I listened. As I did, the energy on the train calmed. His friend listened too. When they got off at their stop, he said, “Hey, thanks.”        —Kirsten
