Dear Editors,

         In our modern society, we are bombarded with information and news which more often than not creates fear, anxiety or a sense of lack. Meditation & Health is like sunshine on a cloudy day, a sanctuary in a sandstorm – it redirects my mind to thinking about positivity, health, wellbeing and our larger purpose in life, which is to cultivate a good heart and compassion.

         I enjoy the health information, tips and recipes provided, which are practical ways of improving our lives. The sections that I most enjoy, though, are Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings and the philosophical stories. Grandmaster JinBodhi’s wisdom and expansive knowledge helps me let go of the trivial troubles bothering me at the moment and become aware of my emotions and actions. Sometimes in our daily lives it is easy to turn away from awareness and compassion when obstacles and tasks present themselves. These articles and stories open up my mind to possibilities and positivity.

        The magazine was also my gateway to joining a Health & Happiness Retreat and the other classes offered by Bodhi Meditation. With meditation practice and the timely, engaging articles in your magazine, I can better cope with the pressures of life, and balance my state of mind and health.

Dear Caral,

         I picked up my first copy of Meditation & Health magazine to read because I was captivated by the serenity of the natural world on the front cover. Nature had little appeal to me in the past. But since discovering Meditation & Health, I’ve developed a deep connection with Nature. The magazine inspires me, and I read every issue published.

          When I first looked at the contents pages, what particularly caught my attention was “Message From Grandmaster JinBodhi.” I turned to that section immediately. After reading the articles, I decided to put the teachings into practice in my daily life. I’ve discovered the deeper meanings of the teachings.

          Next of great interest to me was “Meditation Journal.” It is inspiring to read the testimonials of people who have benefited greatly from the practice of meditation. I have signed up for the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat, and I’m looking forward to regaining my health.

           In addition, when I am unhappy or worried, I pick up a copy of the magazine. I can feel a sense of calmness and peace envelop me.

           I also enjoy reading the magazine because of its wide-ranging articles and the wealth of information that comes with it.

          As always, I am looking forward to the next issue.
