Group Meditation Practices

      Modern life is hectic, compromising our aspiration to achieve wellness. Concerned with the impact of lifestyle on wellbeing, Grandmaster JinBodhi encourages all Bodhi Meditation practitioners worldwide to return to their centers every weekend to listen to his dharma teachings and practice meditation. Group practices help practitioners to harness the collective positive energy, thereby receiving benefits that could be more difficult to achieve by oneself. Held since the beginning of 2017, this weekly activity has seen many practitioners revitalized and recharged.

Home for Everyone

      Bodhi Meditation Centers worldwide are second homes to all practitioners. Every Saturday is a time for all to gather to replenish their energy. Through practicing The Meditation of Greater Illumination, practitioners let go of a week’s worth of fatigue, stress and problems at work. Once recharged, they are able to absorb Grandmaster JinBodhi’s down-to-earth wisdom. Every week, practitioners take home advice on overall health, life’s challenges, raising kids, daily practices, and many areas of concern.
      Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings give many the courage and strength to face difficulties. He motivates them to pursue their dreams, instills compassion and tolerance, and helps them discover the true meaning of happiness. After these sessions, some practitioners have shared their learning journey and uplifting personal stories. There is a collective happiness that comes from sharing in another’s progress. The positive energy boosts all present into high spirits.

100-Day Meditation Practice

      Understanding that troubles, unhappiness, obstacles and illnesses are not easy to overcome, Grandmaster JinBodhi advises that regular meditation is a good routine to begin. Starting on February 25, 2017, Grandmaster JinBodhi led the “100-Day Meditation Practice” from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. nightly. The collective energy from worldwide participation was profoundly auspicious.
      During this period, countless beneficiaries shared that they were better able to cope with the challenges in their lives. Many were enjoying improved health, greater happiness, recovery from illness, a healthier weight, or even a new job.

The Power of Group Chanting

      Most practitioners who are faced with difficulties seek help from Avalokitesvara, the All-Compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva. Thus, Grandmaster JinBodhi suggested a 12-night group chanting of the mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva starting on March 16, 2017 from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. The last day of the chanting period would coincide with the celebration of Guanyin Bodhisattva’s birth.
      Compassion and wisdom radiated from chanters, creating an amazing power which helped quell their difficulties. Testimonials on Facebook are evidence of the phenomenal effect. One participant’s severe headache dissipated after she chanted for an hour. Another woman experienced a turnaround in challenging family relationships. Her husband began helping her around the house and her mother-in-law became warmer toward her.

Every Practice Counts

      Droplets of water form streams, and streams form rivers and oceans. Group practices amass an immense amount of energy to help alleviate obstacles and sufferings, and consequently improve overall health and wellbeing. Every practice counts.
